Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) services supports adults with intellectual disabilities who live independently in the community. BSO SIL supports individuals in Altona, Gretna, and Morris. 


Our focus is on assisting individuals with strengthening and expanding their community circle by providing and developing opportunities for individuals to participate in the wider community, and providing individuals with transportation to visit friends and loved ones.


SIL staff also assist individuals with daily living tasks such as grocery shopping and meal planning on a budget, meal prep, developing effective routines, attending medical appointments and assisting individuals with communicating their concerns to medical staff, and a large range of other daily living tasks.
